ABOUT
Bankhill Cottage is a stylishly designed self catering 1906 listed building providing two spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an open plan modern interior. Nestled in the ancient historic walls of the border town of Berwick Upon Tweed with a superb location on the banks of the River Tweed. The town offers a delightful mix of independent businesses from artisan cafes, restaurants, vintage & interiors shops. The beautiful harbour walls and coastline offer wonderful walks and boats sail regularly around the harbour and long the river Tweed.
OUR FACILITIES
Kitchen
Our modern stainless steel kitchen provides a large surface area for food preparation, a four ring gas stove, oven, dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, microwave & washing machine.
Free Wifi
The cottage has free wifi you are welcome to use. The login details will be provided when you arrive. There is a TV, CD/radio player, DVD player, games and books for your entertainment.
Parking
There is a gravelled area at the side of the cottage with space for one car. We can offer you a parking permit for other streets in the area if you bring two cars for your stay.
Linens
Bed linens and towels are provided for your stay.
Bedrooms
There are two bedrooms. The downstairs bedroom is a standard double room and the top floor room is a twin which can also be converted to a kingsize if needed. Both rooms have en-suite bath/shower rooms, clothes hanging space and hairdryers.
Log-Burner
You can take advantage in the colder months of the cosy wood burner in the lounge. Firelighters, kindling and one basket of logs are provided with your booking. The cottage has gas central heating.

Granary Gallery
The Granary Gallery showcases work from some of the best regional and national art collections. Previous exhibitions have included L.S Lowry in Berwick & Northumberland, Scottish Colourists from the Fleming Collection and works from the Arts Council Collection.
Castle & Ramparts
The remains of a medieval castle crucial to Anglo-Scottish warfare, superseded by the most complete and breathtakingly impressive bastioned town defences in England, mainly Elizabethan but updated in the 17th and 18th centuries. Surrounding the whole historic town, their entire circuit can be walked.
Independent Shopping
Berwick-upon-Tweed boasts a unique collection of independent boutiques and shops, where you’ll find everything from antiques, art, seasonal produce, gifts, jewellery, pottery, glassware and the obligatory bucket and spade!
